Daniel Foster Technical Consultant
About Daniel
Throughout my career I've worked in almost every size of organisation, from small businesses to some of the largest government agencies both in NZ and abroad.
I started out providing desktop and server support, and was also involved in PC rollout projects. Before I left the UK to return to New Zealand, I was managing all of the PC's and Servers for a multi-national manufacturing company, on my own I would like to add!
I have extensive experience in Active Directory administration and design, Microsoft Exchange, and have a particular interest in IP communications such as Unified Messaging, Office Communicator, and Video Conferencing from desktop applications such as Skype right through to full-HD VC unit implementation and management.
I am skilled in VMWare design and implementation, and I'm currently studying towards VCP certification (of which there are less than 20,000 VCP's worldwide.) I really enjoy bringing the huge benefits of virtualisation to customers.
It's an exciting time in IT with the growing amount of 'Cloud' services available, from moving companies business functions such as accounting and timekeeping onto Internet-based applications, to providing entire Infrastructure services online including file storage with backups, email and unified communications.
I get the most satisfaction from working with clients, delivering projects on time and seeing better end results.
